About

Hillery is always opinionated, sometimes a writer, and most recently a Maitre’D.  She’s worked for major publishing houses and a couple of fancy restaurants.  Hillery used to write criticism, when asked by her journalist friends, but her assessments were hardly objective and never hard hitting.  Now she mainly keeps to variations on the personal essay, which is what she was really doing all along, at her blog www.hilleryoccasionally.com. Read it occasionally, that’s how she writes it.

And then it is a rumor, an utterance, a murmur; a migrated whisper without history or sequence. And all the happy endings of all the short stories cannot begin to answer what cannot be said.

Hope all is well came the voice from the West.
